Usernames & Password Combinations
and Internet Security for You and Me

First let me thank you for taking the time to read this. I know security warnings can be a pain
in the ass, but this one is necessary to save both of us a possible headache in the future.

When choosing a username/password combination for your membership to my site, I'm asking you to please use one that you haven't used for any other internet site that you may be a member of. I deal with constant attempts by hackers to gain access to the member's area that you're paying for, and if you're using a u/p combination that you've used before there's a good chance that it's been hacked and posted on one of the internet password trading sites.  I keep an eye on this activity and have discovered that many members' u/p's have been compromised in this way.

When this happens it costs me time, money and trouble to put a stop to it, and causes the compromised account to be shut down until I can issue a new password, leading to frustration for you who have paid for a legitimate membership. I want every member to completely enjoy their membership and having to block someone, even temporarily, pisses me off.

The safest u/p combinations include both upper and lower case letters and numbers, and avoid using common words in either, such as dog/cat, etc.

If You're A Member and Your Password Doesn't Work

And you haven't heard from me, it's because I don't have a working email address to send
your new password to you. I understand your need for privacy but when you sign up
please use a working e-mail address so I can contact you in case I need to change your login.
If your email has changed or you have any problems accessing your membership,
just e-mail me and I'll straighten it out right away, ok?

Yes, I know it's a pain to keep track of a new u/p combination, but it's to protect both of us.

If you'd like to find out if your u/p has been posted somewhere on the net, click here to use the Google search engine and then search for yours. You might be very surprised at what you find.

Thanks for your time and help with keeping the freeloaders at bay.
